The City of Lloydminster's Golf and Curling Centre, more formally known as the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre has been in operation since its first season in 1984. Following this, there have been many changes regarding food and beverage services and general customer service tactics.
How do we currently operate?
The City of Lloydminster currently operates the golf grounds and squash and racquetball courts. The Pro shop is contracted to Wheaton Golf Services, but the City receives all golf-related fees, from membership to green fees. Wheaton Golf Services is paid a flat fee to administer the golf course and can sell merchandise. The Curling portion is based on an agreement with the Lloydminster Curling Club. The Curling Club is not required to pay, but they must maintain the ice and are responsible for bookings. The City of Lloydminster pays for utilities, plant operations and building maintenance.
Food and Beverage
The food and beverage area has been leased several times over the last five years. The lease is created based on a proposal process outlined by the facility's needs. Vendors are asked to submit business plans, the amount they are willing to pay, menu options, hours of operation and other important information. The last Request for Proposal extended only drew in one proposal.
In order to stay current and ensure the most up-to-date processes, customer input is greatly appreciated. We need your help to ensure that the processes and steps we take make the LGCC better for customers and patrons to enjoy for years to come.
Your opinion matters.
Your input in this current round of engagement will help steer us to properly utilize this facility and understand the current needs of the community to implement a new proposal technique for future food and beverage services.
