Lloydminster's police protection is brought to you by a division of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The RCMP aims to keep all residents and visitors safe within our community.

Through community engagement campaigns such as this, the dedicated police members of our local detachment strive to keep residents educated on their strategic crime reduction efforts and understand what community concerns residents hold.


Engage with the RCMP

Inspector Lee Brachmann of the Lloydminster RCMP Detachment invited residents to share their voices from February 22 to March 22, 2022. Through the Let's Talk Policing survey, residents were encouraged to share their priorities and comments regarding policing operations in Lloydminster. View the What We Heard Report which summarizes the feedback from the survey. The Lloydminster RCMP will analyze the feedback and integrate the top themes into their 2022 fiscal year priorities.

You can view the previous What We Heard Reports in the Documents section of this page. After hearing from the residents of Lloydminster, various crime reduction efforts were achieved in 2021.     Over the past several years, the Lloydminster RCMP have taken a proactive service delivery approach through its crime reduction strategy. The trend toward a proactive service delivery model contrasts with the traditional reactive approach to policing.

     

    What service delivery approach do you feel would be most effective for enhancing community safety in 2021? Do you find more value in a proactive or primarily reactive approach?
