Weaver Heritage Park holds immense potential for Lloydminster, and we want you to be a part of its growth! The Weaver Heritage Park Master Plan project will focus on creating a well-rounded multifunctional park for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come.

As one of Lloydminster’s oldest greenspaces, Weaver Heritage Park is home to a variety of leisure and recreational opportunities. Located along Highway 16, the project site resides between 40 and 44 streets and 45 and 47 avenues. The 32.5 acre area is currently blessed with the historical Rendell House, Barr Colony Heritage Society's Showroom, the Impliments Shed, log cabin, 57 fully-serviced campaign lots, greenspace, playground, picnic shelter, secure dog park and much more.

The master plan project aims to enhance these existing and future amenities through campground integration, natural isolation through vegetation barriers and connection areas. In developing an interpretive plan for the park, the City aims to prioritize the rich history, culture and natural features of the area for visitors to enjoy. The plan will aim to engage visitors through a variety of media and activities, and to foster a sense of stewardship and responsibility for the park’s preservation and protection.

Adjacent to the Weaver Heritage Park is Lloydminster's only enclosed dog park. As a plan priority, the City aims to create an exciting, functional and enjoyable space for patrons and their pets. The space will act as an important open space within the city, taking on a critical role in improving the quality of life for canine owners.

Public consultation for the Weaver Heritage Park was available from August 2 to 23 with a public survey. This survey sought feedback on the uses, vision and goals for Weaver Campground, Heritage Park and the Off-Leash Dog Park. Throughout the campaign, paper surveys were available at Lloydminster Museum + Archives, City Hall and various pop-up engagement booths.
